Other Considerations
Santa Fe is located at 7,000 feet in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. The air is dry (usually about 15-25% humidity) and the sun strong, so remember to wear a hat, sunscreen, and chapstick. Drink plenty of water; alcohol and caffeine are dehydrating. If you feel out of breath or sluggish, it's probably the altitude. Dehydration may also cause headaches, so again, drink lots of water, try ibuprofen, and pace yourself.
