Advertising is the art of engagement. In today’s interactive world, how do you engage your existing and prospective clients? How best to keep people up-to-date about your latest work, and generally get the word out about yourself and your photography?

The answer is to employ and leverage social media tools and networking. Yes, your web site is important, but having great imagery and supporting information online is just the first step in getting your message out in today’s highly dispersed marketing environment. Over two and half days we analyze successful case studies in search engine optimization (SEO), blogging philosophy, and distribution. We examine Facebook and Twitter engagement, ways to develop your professional network using LinkedIn, keyword advertising, and the development and deployment of successful email blast campaigns.

We also explore what Stephen considers the four best practices of social media communication:

  • Create high quality and interesting content
  • Do not try to sell anything
  • Create opportunities for your audience to become directly involved with your brand
  • Remember that your web site, blog, email blast campaign, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn identities are all equally important.

If you are confused by social media, are in the early stages of a social media campaign, or are ready to tackles these new tools, this workshop is for you.
